IsoEnergy Ltd. (NYSE American: ISOU) announced the start of its 2026 summer exploration program at the Larocque East project in Canada's Athabasca Basin. The program comprises approximately 8,000 meters of diamond drilling across up to 20 drill holes, targeting the Hurricane South Trend.
The drilling follows winter 2026 results that returned 4.21% U₃O₈ over 3.5 meters, including 11.61% U₃O₈ over 1.0 meter, in hole LE26-248 within the L Fault Zone. Additional intercepts included 2.75% U₃O₈ over 0.5 meters in LE26-234 and 1.75% U₃O₈ over 0.5 meters in LE26-243, located approximately 525 meters east of the resource envelope.
The Hurricane deposit hosts a mineral resource of 48.6 million pounds U₃O₈ at 34.5% U₃O₈ indicated, and 2.7 million pounds U₃O₈ at 2.2% U₃O₈ inferred. The deposit sits at approximately 325 meters depth, located about 40 kilometers northwest of the McClean Lake mill.
Summer drilling targets the South Trend along strike east of previous holes LE26-248 and LE21-107, which intersected mineralization along the J-L fault corridor. The Hurricane South Trend shows mineralization across a 500-meter strike length east of the Hurricane deposit.
"The LE26-248 intersection opened an underexplored corridor along the southernmost fault strands of the Hurricane fault zone, and this 8,000 m program is designed to test the scale of that opportunity along strike," said Dan Brisbin, vice president of exploration.
The company also plans airborne MobileMT surveys and ground fieldwork on four early-stage projects to develop additional drill targets. This work includes investigating radiometric anomalies identified during 2024 helicopter-borne surveys on the Evergreen and East Rim projects.
