Jupiter Neurosciences Inc. (NASDAQ: JUNS) appointed Kristopher Fishman and Sanjiv Lal to the advisory board of its Nugevia consumer longevity product line, according to a company statement.
Fishman serves as CEO and President of Wells Pharmacy Network LLC, a compounding pharmacy licensed in 48 states that specializes in wellness and anti-aging products. The company operates both a 503A compounding pharmacy and a 503B outsourcing facility in Florida and Tennessee.
Lal is co-founder and partner at Motivant and RegenTherapy, with more than 20 years of experience in biotechnology and healthcare commercialization. He previously founded three laboratory businesses and successfully exited two of them.
Jupiter Neurosciences estimates the combined U.S. market for practitioner-grade nutraceuticals through compounding pharmacies and wellness channels at over $1.5 billion. The company's Nugevia product line includes three formulations using its JOTROL micellar delivery technology: PWR for mitochondrial support, MND for cognitive health, and GLO for skin vitality.
The company currently sells Nugevia products direct-to-consumer and is expanding into practitioner-led distribution channels. Jupiter Neurosciences is also developing JOTROL for pharmaceutical applications, including a Phase IIa clinical trial for Parkinson's disease that received FDA clearance.
"Compounding pharmacies and wellness centers are staffed by practitioners who evaluate formulation science before recommending products to their patients and clients," said Christer Rosén, chairman and CEO of Jupiter Neurosciences.
The clinical-stage pharmaceutical company focuses on neuroinflammation and healthy aging applications using its proprietary resveratrol-based platform technology.
