Sysco Reports Third Quarter Net Earnings of $181 Million and Diluted EPS of $0.31 ($0.38 after adjusting for certain items)
May 5, 2014 8:02 AM EDTHOUSTON, May 5, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sysco Corporation (NYSE: SYY) today announced financial results for its 13-week third fiscal quarter ended March 29, 2014.
Third Quarter Fiscal 2014 Highlights
Sales were $11.3 billion, an increase of 3.2% from $10.9 billion in the third quarter of fiscal 2013. Operating income was $333 million, a decrease of 1.4%, compared to $337 million in last year's third quarter. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) were $0.31, which was 8.8% lower compared to $0.34 in last year's third quarter.
