IBM (IBM) Q1 'Very Disappointing', Not Good Sign for Hewlett-Packard (HPQ)

IBM (IBM) Misses Q1 EPS by 5c, Sales Fall 5%

IBM (NYSE: IBM) reported Q1 EPS of $3.00, up 8% from last year but $0.05 worse than the analyst estimate of $3.05. Revenue for the quarter fell 5%, or 3% adjusting for currency, to $23.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $24.69 billion.
