Goldman Sachs (GS) Takes Breather Despite Blow-Out Q3 Numbers
October 16, 2012 7:58 AM EDTShares of Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) are indicated to open lower Tuesday despite third quarter results that easily beat Wall Street views.
The investment banking giant reported net revenues of $8.35 billion, up 49 percent from last year and above the consensus of $7.3 billion. Results were 3% lower than the second quarter of 2012. Net revenues in Investment Banking were $1.16 billion, 49% higher than the third quarter of 2011 and 3% lower than the second quarter of 2012. Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS) Tops Q3 EPS by 73c
October 16, 2012 7:35 AM EDTGoldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) reported Q3 EPS of $2.85, $0.73 better than the analyst estimate of $2.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.35 billion versus the consensus estimate of $7.3 billion.
Boosts dividend to 50 cents.
