Ford (F) to cut at least 1,000 salaried and contract workers
June 27, 2023 10:17 AM EDTThe Wall Street Journal reports Tuesday, citing unnamed sources, that Ford (NYSE: F) plans to lay off at least 1,000 salaried and employees and contract workers in North America in an effort to offset the heavy cost of investing in electric cars.

Ford (F) cuts contract workers ahead of planned layoffs
June 26, 2023 8:43 AM EDTFord (NYSE: F) notified contract workers employed by outside companies late Friday that their services would no longer be needed, the Michigan automaker confirmed Saturday.
The company alerted some workers who are employed by outside agencies that their contracts were not being renewed. When asked how many people would not be reporting to work Monday, Ford spokesman T.R. Reid said, "Were not providing numbers."
