AstraZeneca (AZN) Has Supplied Two Billion Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine in 11 Months
November 16, 2021 6:00 AM ESTAstraZeneca (NASDAQ: AZN) and its partners have released for supply two billion doses of their COVID-19 vaccine to more than 170 countries across every continent on the planet in the last 11 months.
Approximately two-thirds of these have gone to low- and lower-middle-income countries, including more than 175 million doses delivered to 130 countries through the COVAX Facility.

AstraZeneca (AZN) Reports Positive Phase IIa Results from the EPICCURE Trial
November 15, 2021 8:24 AM ESTAstraZeneca (NASDAQ: AZN) announces positive Phase IIa results from the EPICCURE trial, demonstrating that AZD8601 met the primary endpoint of safety and tolerability in patients with heart failure.
In the trial, researchers injected mRNA encoding vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF-A) known as AZD8601 directly into the myocardium of patients undergoing elective coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) surgery. AZD8601 is being co-developed with Moderna.
