AMC Entertainment (AMC) Tops Q2 EPS by 22c; Revenues Beat
August 9, 2021 4:18 PM EDTAMC Entertainment (NYSE: AMC) reported Q2 EPS of ($0.71), $0.22 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.93). Revenue for the quarter came in at $444.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $375.28 million.
Adam Aron, Chairman and CEO of AMC commented, The second quarter of 2021 was transformational for AMC. We raised yet another $1.25 billion of new equity capital (before commissions and fees) in the quarter, boosting our quarter ending liquidity to more than $2 billion (including cash and undrawn revolving lines of credit) which is about double the previous highest ever such mark in AMCs 101-year history.
