First Quarter 2020 Results Reported by Amphenol Corporation
April 22, 2020 8:00 AM EDTWALLINGFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Amphenol Corporation (NYSE: APH) reported today GAAP diluted Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the first quarter 2020 of $0.79 compared to $0.87 for the comparable 2019 period. GAAP diluted EPS for the first quarter 2020 included (i) a discrete tax benefit of approximately $20 million ($0.06 per share) related to the settlements of refund claims in certain non-U.S. jurisdictions and the resulting adjustments to deferred taxes and (ii) an excess tax benefit of approximately $5 million ($0.02 per share) related to stock options exercised during the quarter.
