Canadian Solar (CSIQ) Tops Q2 EPS by 47c, Revenues Beat; Q3 Revenue Guidane Below Consensus, Affirms FY19 Revenue Outlook
August 15, 2019 6:07 AM EDTCanadian Solar (NASDAQ: CSIQ) reported Q2 EPS of $0.77, $0.47 better than the analyst estimate of $0.30. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.04 billion versus the consensus estimate of $990.29 million.
Second Quarter 2019 Highlights
Total solar module shipments were 2,143 MW, compared to 1,575 MW in the first quarter of 2019 and second quarter 2019 guidance of 1.95 GW to 2.05 GW.Net revenue was $1,036.3 million, compared to $484.7 million in the first quarter of 2019 and second quarter 2019 guidance of $970 million to $1.01 billion.Gross margin was 17.6%, including the benefit of an anti-dumping ("AD") and countervailing duty ("CVD") true-up of $21.6 million,...
