Ross Stores (ROST) Tops Q1 EPS by 3c, Revenues Beat, Comp. Sales Up 2%; Q2 EPS Views Below Consensus, FY19 EPS Mid-Point Guidance Below Consensus
May 23, 2019 4:04 PM EDTRoss Stores (NASDAQ: ROST) reported Q1 EPS of $1.15, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $1.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.8 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.79 billion.
Barbara Rentler, Chief Executive Officer, commented, For the first quarter, we delivered sales gains at the high end of our guidance as well as better-than-expected earnings per share growth despite continued underperformance in Ladies apparel.... More
