January 30, 2019 4:15 PM ESTWORCESTER, Mass., Jan. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. (NYSE: THG) today reported net income of $123.6 million, or $2.88 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter of 2018, compared to $51.5 million, or $1.20 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter. Operating income(1) was $64.9 million, or $1.51 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter of 2018. This compares to operating income of $65.8 million, or $1.53 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter.
