BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Regions Financial Corporation (NYSE: RF) today announced earnings for the first quarter ended March 31, 2018. The company reported net income available to common shareholders from continuing operations of $398 million, an increase of 44 percent compared to the first quarter of 2017. Earnings per diluted share from continuing operations were $0.35, an increase of 52 percent from the first quarter of 2017.
