Fortis Reports 2016 Earnings of $585 million and Fourth Quarter 2016 Earnings of $189 million

("Fortis" or the "Corporation") (TSX: FTS)(NYSE: FTS), a leader in the North American regulated electric and gas utility industry, released its 2016 annual results today. The Corporation's net earnings attributable to common equity shareholders for 2016 were $585 million, or $1.89 per common share, compared to $728 million, or $2.61 per common share, for 2015.
