(Reuters) - Allergan Plc (NYSE: AGN), whose $160 billion merger with Pfizer Inc (NYSE: PFE) collapsed last month, reported a higher-than-expected quarterly profit and said it would buy back up to $10 billion in company stock, helping lift its shares 4 percent.
The Dublin drugmaker on Tuesday said the planned $40 billion sale of its generics business to Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (NYSE: TEVA) will close next month and that it will use $8 billion of the money to pay down... More
