Washington Trust Reports Record 2015 Earnings
January 26, 2016 4:05 PM ESTWESTERLY, R.I., Jan. 26, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Washington Trust Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq: WASH), parent company of The Washington Trust Company, today announced net income of $10.7 million, or 62 cents per diluted share, for the fourth quarter of 2015. Net income was up by 5% from the $10.2 million, or 60 cents per diluted share, reported for the third quarter of 2015.Â
For the year ended December 31, 2015, net income totaled $43.5 million, or $2.54 per diluted share. Full-year net income increased by 6%, from the $40.8 million, or $2.41 per diluted share, reported for 2014. Returns on average equity and average assets in 2015 were 12.00% and 1.19%,... More
