(NYSE: TAL) jointly announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which the companies will combine in an all-stock merger of equals transaction. The transaction, which has been unanimously approved by the Boards of Directors of both companies, will create the worlds largest lessor of intermodal freight containers with a combined container fleet of nearly five million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) and revenue earning assets of $8.7 billion.

Zayo Group (ZAYO) to Acquire Viatel in EUR 95M Deal

Zayo Group (NYSE: ZAYO) announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Viatels infrastructure and non-Irish enterprise businesses. Viatel is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Digiweb Group, a full service telecommunications and managed services operator, based in Dublin, Ireland. The purchase price is approximately 95 million.
