Baird Maintains Bullish View on Tesla Motors (TSLA) Post Q2; Says Model X Worth the Wait
August 6, 2015 6:51 AM EDTBaird analyst Ben Kallo reiterated an Outperform rating and $335 price target on Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) following Q2 results and conference call. Kallo notes the ramp is slower than expected, but said the Model X is worth the wait.

Tesla (TSLA) Tops Q2 EPS by 12c; Deliveries Were 11,532 Units

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) reported Q2 EPS of ($0.48), $0.12 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.60). Revenue was $954.98 million, versus the consensus of $1.17 billion.
Deliveries were 11,532 units in the quarter. (The company previously announced 11,507 Model S deliveries for Q2 2015.)
Outlook
In Q3, we expect to produce just over 12,000 vehicles, representing a more than 60% increase from a year ago, and deliver approximately the same number of vehicles as in Q2, despite having one week of planned shutdown in Q3. This includes a small number of Model X... More
