Canadian Solar (CSIQ) Q4 Results, Outlook Solid; Roth Trims FY15 Expectations on YieldCo Prep
March 6, 2015 8:50 AM ESTCanadian Solar (Nasdaq: CSIQ) is lower following a strong post-Q4 run made on Thursday. Roth Capital analyst Philip Shen is offering commentary on the company today following results.
Shen noted that Q4 shipments and FY15 guidance outpaced expectations. CSIQ reported Q4 revenue of $954 million, versus Roth's estimate of $927 million.

Canadian Solar (CSIQ) Misses Q4 EPS by 6c; Issues Light FY15 Revs Outlook
March 5, 2015 6:10 AM ESTCanadian Solar (NASDAQ: CSIQ) reported Q4 EPS of $1.28, $0.06 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.34. Revenue for the quarter came in at $956.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $953.94 million.
Total solar module shipments were 1,125 MW, with 897 MW recognized in revenue, compared to 770 MW recognized in revenue in the third quarter of 2014, and fourth quarter guidance in the range of 810 MW to 860 MW.
Canadian Solar sees Q1 2015 revenue of $725-775 million, versus the consensus of $733.9 million. For the first quarter of 2015, the Company expects total module shipments to be in the range of approximately 1,000 MW... More
