Artist's Tesla (TSLA) Model E Concept Looks Just as You'd Expect: Plain

Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA) is expected to release its tentatively-named 'Model E' in 2016, after debuting at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).
The Model E will be more consumer friendly, with prices expected to range from $35,000 to $40,000. While Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the Model E would take some styling cues from the popular Model S sedan, just what might consumers expect?
AutoEvolution highlighted on artists concept of what the Model E might end up looking like. Designer Theophilus Chin took the Tata Pr1ma as base for this rendering and put together something that, well, resembles more of what you would expect a $35,000 to $40,000 automobile would look like. Our best association would be that the Model E concept looks more like an Audi sedan crossed with a Chevy Malibu. Below is a photo of the concept:
