Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) shares are active following reports that there have been some glitchy Xbox One units making the rounds.
CNET cites Neowin and NeoGAF forums in saying that some Xbox One owners have reported that their disc drives aren't working. Some have posted videos of said unworking disc drives to YouTube as proof.
It wasn't made immediately clear how widespread the issue was or whether Microsoft has been notified.
While manufacturing defects aren't unusual, particularly for a new product, we're not sure if we can recall similar complaints the week following the launch of Sony's (NYSE: SNE) PlayStation 4.
Shares of Microsoft are modestly higher in early Friday trading.
