Musk explained that even the best hydrogen fuel cell technology doesn't have nearly the energy storage capacity as a lithium-ion battery pack, which is used in the Model S.

And then they’ll say certain technologies like fuel cell … oh god … fuel cell is so bullsh*t. Except in a rocket.
