Volkswagen's (OTCBB: VLKAY) Audi of America president Scott Keogh commented on Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA) today during the Bloomberg Government breakfast in Washington, D.C.
In part, Keogh questioned Tesla's lack of dealers. He commented,

In part, Keogh questioned Tesla's lack of dealers. He commented,
My view of dealers is crystal clear because I have personally seen the leveragable advantage of a dealer.
While Keogh also said that they were the talk of the town and that the
industry as a whole can learn from them is continue to push innovation, continue to have the challenger spirit,he didn't single Tesla out as being better than any other manufacturer. The executive said Tesla is just as much a competitor as any other company selling an auto for over $100,000 in the luxury market.
Shares of Tesla are up about 1 percent Friday.
