Those wanting a QWERTY keyboard-equipped BlackBerry (Nasdaq: BBRY) Q10 smartphone won't have to wait much longer.
Reports out Tuesday afternoon have U.S. wireless giant AT&T (NYSE: T) beginning to take preorders for the Q10 starting June 5th. The device will go for $199.99 with a new two-year contract.
No word on when devices will become available.
We should point out to investors and traders that Father's Day falls on June 16th this year, so taking preorders on June 5th will give many consumers plenty of time if they had plans to get dear ol' dad the latest-and-greatest coming out of Waterloo, Ontario.
The BlackBerry Q10 has a 3.1-inch touch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core, 1.5-GHz S4 processor, 2-GB RAM memory, 16-GB flash memory, and 2100mAH battery, among other features.
Shares of BlackBerry ended 0.5 percent lower Tuesday.
