Following its Q1 release earlier, Nokia (NYSE: NOK) CEO Stephen Elop issued comments hinting at a new lineup of Lumia devices is coming soon.
Elop commented, "later this quarter a new Lumia device is anticipated to have hero status with a leading US carrier." It was previously said that Verizon (NYSE: VZ) would be getting a new version of the Lumia 920, dubbed the Lumia 928.
In addition, Elop said introduction of the 928 would mark, "the beginning of a season of new product introductions." No clarification or color was given on what that might mean, though Elop has said in the past that the company is also working on a tablet device.
