Does it matter that Ron Johnson is no longer leading JCPenney (NYSE: JCP)?
The question was posed on the Yahoo! Finance homepage: "J.C. Penney dumped CEO Ron Johnson after 17 months on the job. How often do you shop at Penney?"
Unsurprisingly, about 50 percent of respondents, or 20,576 votes, said "Never." Just 2 percent, or 654 votes, said "Once a Week." In total, 86 percent of votes tallied said they either never shopped at JCPenney or did so "Once a Year."
A better measure of this survey would be to have done the same thing back in November/December 2011, when Ron Johnson was just coming on as CEO of the retailer.
Shares of JCPenney are down over 11 percent Tuesday.
