Nomura Securities maintained a Buy rating on Visa (NYSE: V) and raised its price target to $140.00 (from $150.00).
Commenting on Visa's quarterly results, analyst Bill Carcache said, "Overall it was a good quarter at Visa, with core trends coming in roughly in line with expectations."
"Based on this quarter's review, we're leaving our 2013 / 14 estimates unchanged. We're also raising our PT from $140 to $150 to reflect a modestly higher earnings multiple," wrote Carcache.
He sees success in employment of debit mitigation strategies and continued outperformance in US credit.
