Discover Financial Services (NYSE: DFS) reported Q1 EPS of $1.18, $0.29 better than the analyst estimate of $0.89. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.84 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.8 billion.

Discover card sales volume was up 7 percent during the quarter.
