Canadian Solar (CSIQ) Posts Wider than Expected Q4 Loss; Guides Q1, FY12 Shipments

Canadian Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSIQ) reported Q4 EPS of ($1.39), $1.03 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.36). Revenue for the quarter came in at $474.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $485 million.

Q4 shipments were 436-MW.

For the first quarter of 2012, shipments are expected to be in the range of approximately 340 MW to 350 MW.

For fiscal 2012, Canadian Solar expects to ship approximately 1,800 MW to 2,000 MW of solar products.
