Alliance Resource Partners (NASDAQ: ARLP) reported Q1 EPS of $1.99, $0.16 better than the analyst estimate of $1.83. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.22 billion versus the consensus estimate of $441.9 million.
ARLP also increased the cash distribution to unitholders for the 2011 Quarter to $0.89 per unit, $3.56 annualized. The distribution is a 3.5 percent increase from $0.86 paid last quarter.
The distribution is payable on May 13, 2011 to all unitholders of record as of the close of trading on May 6, 2011, with an ex-distribution date of May 4, 2011.
Yield on the distribution is 4.8 percent.
