ScottsMiracle-Gro (NYSE: SMG) has appointed Nick Miaritis as executive vice president and chief brand officer, a newly created position at the Marysville, Ohio-based company, according to a press release issued June 18, 2026.
Miaritis will oversee the company's brands and lead all marketing strategies and initiatives. He will report to President and Chief Operating Officer Nate Baxter.
Before joining ScottsMiracle-Gro, Miaritis served as chief client officer at VaynerMedia, a global creative and media agency, where he led brand partnerships and developed new capabilities. He holds a degree from Georgetown University.
Baxter said the appointment is tied to the company's "SMG 2.0" growth strategy, which centers on channel expansion, category growth, and innovation in naturals and organics, with an increased focus on e-commerce and social and digital marketing.
"We have huge opportunities to win with consumers and bring more people into the lawn and garden category," Miaritis said, adding that his focus will be on expanding household penetration through a "social- and digital-first approach."
ScottsMiracle-Gro reports approximately $3.3 billion in annual sales and markets brands including Scotts, Miracle-Gro, Ortho, and Tomcat.
