Netlist files court actions against Samsung over memory patents

June 17, 2026 10:02 PM EDT

Netlis filed new patent infringement proceedings against Samsung at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, according to a company statement dated June 17, 2026.

The actions are based on two U.S. patents — No. 12,646,537 and No. 12,650,937 — which Netlist claims cover Samsung's high-bandwidth memory (HBM) products and Samsung's DDR5 RDIMMs and MRDIMMs, respectively.

The ITC complaint also names Google, Supermicro, Nvidia, and Broadcom as respondents. At the ITC, Netlist is seeking exclusion orders and cease and desist orders against all named respondents. ITC investigations typically proceed to trial within a year.
