US-Iran accord signing planned for June 19 in Switzerland, Swiss govt says
Investing.com -- Switzerland will host the signing of an interim accord between the United States and Iran on June 19 at the Buergenstock resort in central Switzerland, the Swiss government said Tuesday.
The Swiss foreign ministry announced it has maintained close communication with the US, Iran, Pakistan and Qatar regarding the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran. The agreement aims to end the war in the Middle East.
The Buergenstock location in the canton of Nidwalden was proposed by Pakistani and Qatari mediators, along with the US and Iran, according to the ministry statement.
