Nuwellis names Mike McCormick as CEO, effective June 30

Nuwellis, Inc. (NASDAQ: NUWE) has appointed Mike McCormick as Chief Executive Officer, effective June 30, 2026, according to a company statement.
John Erb, who currently serves as President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board, will step down from his executive role and remain as Chairman of the Board following the transition.
McCormick previously served as an independent board member of Nuwellis from June 2023 through January 2026. He has more than three decades of experience in the medical technology industry, spanning product development, commercialization, corporate strategy, and capital formation across public and private companies.
"Mike brings an exceptional combination of operational leadership, commercial expertise, and strategic vision," Erb said in the statement.
"Nuwellis has an important opportunity to expand the role of precision fluid management in cardiorenal care," McCormick said. "I am excited to work with our employees, leadership team, Board, clinicians, and customers to build on the Company's momentum, strengthen commercial execution, advance our pipeline, and create value for patients, healthcare providers, and shareholders."
Nuwellis develops medical technology for patients with cardiorenal conditions, including monitoring and therapy solutions for acute and chronic care settings.
