Ballard Power Systems (NASDAQ: BLDP) announced an order for 15 megawatts of fuel cell systems for stationary off-grid power applications, according to a company press release.
The order consists of 150 FCmove-HD+ 100 kW fuel cell modules from a customer specializing in renewable off-grid power generation. It marks the second order of this scale from the same customer, following a similar order placed in 2024.
Deliveries are expected to begin in the second half of 2026. The systems will be used in hydrogen gensets for applications including live events, construction, movie sets, and critical infrastructure.
Ballard Chief Executive Officer Marty Neese said the order "reflects continued market adoption of zero-emission fuel cell solutions for off-grid stationary power applications," adding that it represents "a positive endorsement from our partner on the ability of the FCmove-HD+ module to provide quiet, clean, economical and reliable low-carbon power."
Ballard's stationary fuel cell systems range from 100 kW to multi-megawatt configurations and have been deployed globally across applications including electric vehicle charging and off-grid power generation.
