Venu Holding Corporation (NYSE American: VENU) announced it is pursuing an $80 million sale-leaseback transaction for the parking garage at its Sunset Amphitheater in McKinney, Texas, according to a company statement.
The transaction represents part of VENU's approximately $250 million financing strategy and follows a recently completed $49.7 million sale-leaseback on land beneath Ford Amphitheater in Colorado Springs. Company founder, chairman and CEO JW Roth personally invested in the entity that acquired the Colorado Springs property.
"I personally invested in the entity that acquired the Ford Amphitheater land. That is how much conviction I have in this strategy," Roth stated in the release.
VENU plans to complete approximately $200 million in additional sale-leaseback structures across its portfolio of entertainment venues. The company operates venues in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Gainesville, Georgia.
The McKinney location is among two venues approaching opening, alongside a Broken Arrow, Oklahoma facility. VENU has projects under development in Houston and El Paso, with a new planned location announced in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The company is exploring expansion into Northern Colorado.
The sale-leaseback model allows VENU to monetize assets while maintaining operational control, with proceeds intended for redeployment into development projects.
