Akanda regains NASDAQ compliance after filing delayed annual report
Akanda Corp. (NASDAQ: AKAN) received written notice from NASDAQ on June 10, 2026, confirming the company has regained compliance with listing requirements after filing its delayed annual report.
The cannabis and telecommunications company had fallen out of compliance with NASDAQ Listing Rule 5250(c)(1) on May 20, 2026, due to its failure to file the Annual Report on Form 20-F for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025. The rule requires listed companies to timely file all required periodic financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Akanda filed the Form 20-F with the SEC on June 9, 2026, one day before receiving confirmation from NASDAQ that compliance had been restored. The stock exchange has determined that the matter is now closed.
The company operates through cannabis subsidiaries in Canada and owns First Towers & Fiber Corp., which focuses on tower development and operates a fiber optic network exceeding 700 kilometers in Mexico.
