Greenland Energy Company (NASDAQ: GLND) appointed Carol Craig to its board of directors effective June 5, according to a company statement. Craig fills the vacancy created by Daniel M. McCabe's resignation and will serve on the audit committee.
Craig, 59, founded and leads Sidus Space Inc. (NASDAQ: SIDU), a space and defense technology company that completed its initial public offering on the Nasdaq in December 2021. Under her leadership, Sidus Space developed and launched three LizzieSat satellites between March 2024 and March 2025.
Before founding Sidus Space in 2012, Craig established Craig Technologies in 1999, an aerospace and defense engineering firm. She previously served as a P-3 Orion Naval Flight Officer in the United States Navy and was among the first women eligible to fly in combat aircraft.
Craig holds degrees in computer science from Knox College and the University of Illinois, a master's in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in systems engineering at the Florida Institute of Technology.
The board determined Craig qualifies as an independent director under Nasdaq listing standards and meets audit committee independence requirements under Securities Exchange Act Rule 10A-3.
"Carol brings an exceptional combination of entrepreneurial leadership, technical expertise, and public company governance experience," said Larry Swets Jr., chairman of Greenland Energy's board.
Greenland Energy focuses on oil exploration in East Greenland's Jameson Land Basin and plans to execute its first modern onshore drilling campaign in the region in 2026.
