Aldeyra Therapeutics names Darlene Deptula-Hicks to board of directors

Aldeyra Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: ALDX) announced the appointment of Darlene Deptula-Hicks to its board of directors, according to a company statement.

Deptula-Hicks brings more than 30 years of experience in public and private life science companies across therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices, and healthcare technologies. She has held senior executive and chief financial officer positions and has experience with initial public offerings, capital raises, strategic partnerships, and merger and acquisition transactions.

She currently serves as acting Chief Financial Officer of Normunity Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on cancer therapies. Previously, she was Chief Financial Officer of F-star Therapeutics Inc. Deptula-Hicks holds an MBA from Rivier University and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University.

"Ms. Deptula-Hicks brings decades of experience working with both publicly traded and venture-backed biotechnology companies," said Richard H. Douglas, chairman of the board.

Aldeyra Therapeutics is a biotechnology company developing therapies for immune-mediated diseases. The company's product candidates include RASP modulators ADX-248, ADX-246, and related molecules for systemic and retinal immune-mediated diseases. Its late-stage candidates are reproxalap for dry eye disease and allergic conjunctivitis, and ADX-2191 for primary vitreoretinal lymphoma and retinitis pigmentosa.
