Microbot Medical adds first Michigan health system customer

Microbot Medical Inc. (NASDAQ: MBOT) announced that a Michigan healthcare system has become the first in the state and the greater Midwest to adopt the company's LIBERTY Endovascular Robotic System, according to a press release statement.

The adoption follows the company's recent announcement of its first healthcare system customer in North Carolina. Microbot Medical stated the expansion reflects its full market release strategy across multiple U.S. regions.

The LIBERTY system is described as the only FDA-cleared, single-use, remotely operated robotic system for peripheral endovascular procedures. The system recently received regulatory approval from the Israeli Ministry of Health's AMAR Division, allowing marketing and sales in Israel.

"We are excited to see the continued expansion of the LIBERTY System into new healthcare systems across the country," said Harel Gadot, Chairman, President and CEO. "We believe the addition of another healthcare system customer, following our recent expansion into North Carolina, reflects the growing recognition that robotics can be delivered in a way that is practical, accessible and aligned with the needs of today's healthcare environment."

The company cited the U.S. market for peripheral endovascular procedures as encompassing approximately 2.5 million procedures annually. The system is designed for vascular navigation while aiming to reduce radiation exposure and physical strain.

Microbot Medical is a commercial stage medical device company focused on endovascular procedures through robotic technology. The company has transitioned to full market release in the U.S. for its LIBERTY system.
