Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAI) announced it has delivered a threat analysis system to the U.S. Army under a contract valued at approximately $743,000. The system includes the company's NODE edge computing platform, Black Widow drones from Red Cat Holdings (NASDAQ: RCAT), and software support services.
The contract covers AI model upgrades, training, and operational support through the third quarter of 2026. Safe Pro expects to train Army personnel before the end of June and provide ongoing support during scheduled exercises.
The NODE system uses Safe Pro's SPOTD technology to detect explosive threats including landmines, cluster munitions, and unexploded ordnance from drone imagery. The platform can identify more than 150 types of explosive threats and operates without requiring network connectivity.
Safe Pro's AI dataset contains over 2.8 million drone images and more than 50,000 confirmed detections collected across 35,000 acres in Ukraine. The system converts drone video into 2D and 3D maps with identified threats for battlefield situational awareness.
The company received the order through a subcontract from a defense prime contractor. Safe Pro develops AI-enabled defense and security solutions, with its technology built on Amazon Web Services infrastructure.
