8x8, Inc. (NASDAQ: EGHT) has launched 8x8 Resolve, a mobile-first critical communications and incident management solution designed for deskless and distributed workers. The solution addresses communication gaps for warehouse staff, retail associates, field technicians, and healthcare aides who comprise an estimated 70% of the global workforce according to The Josh Bersin Company.
8x8 Resolve delivers alerts across SMS, voice, WhatsApp, and the 8x8 Work mobile app without requiring corporate email addresses, devices, or app logins. The system automatically escalates across channels until recipients acknowledge messages and generates detailed, exportable communication logs for each event.
The solution includes automated escalation when messages go unread, workflows that trigger via webhook or schedule, and conversational AI that allows employees to report incidents via SMS or WhatsApp. Recipient lists sync with Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta, and Workday without manual maintenance.
"Too many critical events still end with someone asking who got the message and who didn't," said Hunter Middleton, Chief Product Officer at 8x8. "8x8 Resolve answers that question before it's asked."
The platform targets incident and operations managers, IT leaders, and business continuity teams at mid-market and enterprise organizations across healthcare, retail, education, utilities, logistics, and manufacturing sectors. The solution operates independently of corporate email systems and remains available when primary systems fail.
8x8 Resolve is currently available for select 8x8 customers. Organizations can contact their account manager or visit the company website for more information.
