OSI Systems secures $10 million order for optical sub-assemblies

OSI Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: OSIS) announced that its Optoelectronics and Manufacturing division received a $10 million order to supply optical sub-assemblies to a semiconductor equipment industry customer.
The Hawthorne, California-based company will provide the components to what it described as a leading original equipment manufacturer in the semiconductor equipment sector, according to a company statement.
"We are pleased to secure this award, which reflects our expertise in delivering high-reliability solutions for demanding applications," said Ajay Mehra, OSI Systems' president and chief executive officer.
OSI Systems operates through three business segments: Security, Optoelectronics and Manufacturing, and Healthcare. The company designs and manufactures specialized electronic systems and components for applications across these sectors.
The Optoelectronics and Manufacturing segment serves as a supplier of optoelectronic solutions and precision manufacturing services for original equipment manufacturers globally. The Security division provides inspection systems and screening solutions, while the Healthcare segment focuses on patient monitoring and diagnostic cardiology.
OSI Systems serves customers in more than 170 countries and maintains sales, service, research and development, and manufacturing operations worldwide.
