Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (NYSE: ICE) announced it has joined Anthropic's cybersecurity initiative Project Glasswing, deploying Claude Mythos Preview across its financial infrastructure operations.
The AI tool has been implemented across ICE's businesses including the New York Stock Exchange, other exchanges, clearinghouses, data services, and mortgage technology platforms. ICE manages the deployment, security architecture and governance of the system's use.
Claude Mythos Preview is designed to help identify and remediate vulnerabilities before they can be exploited through emerging AI capabilities, according to the company's announcement.
"The systems we run are the backbone of global financial markets. As part of Project Glasswing, we're advancing the use and sophistication of AI across our cyber security in a manner that is secure, auditable, and designed for regulated industries," said Ben Jackson, President of ICE.
Lynn Martin, President of NYSE Group, stated the collaboration advances "technology-forward innovations while protecting the integrity of our state of the art infrastructure powering the global capital markets."
ICE joins what the company described as a select group of Project Glasswing members. The initiative focuses on AI-secured financial and technological infrastructure.
ICE operates financial market technology and data services across major asset classes and provides futures, equity and options exchanges and clearing houses. The company also offers energy and environmental product markets and mortgage technology services.
