ZenaTech, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZENA) announced the initial development of ZenaWorx, a LiDAR-based software platform designed to monitor construction progress on AI data center projects. The company said it is targeting the AI data center construction sector, which is growing at 30% annually according to market research.
The software uses drone-captured LiDAR data to create 3D digital maps of construction sites for tracking project progress and identifying deviations from planned designs. ZenaTech stated it has identified a potential beta customer for a several hundred-acre AI data center construction project and is currently in negotiations.
ZenaWorx will be offered through the company's Drone as a Service and Enterprise SaaS divisions. The platform processes aerial data to provide visual analytics for construction progress tracking and standardized reporting across projects.
"The AI data center market is experiencing unprecedented expansion as an important growth market for drone-powered surveying, analytics, and construction monitoring solutions," said CEO Shaun Passley. "With the development of ZenaWorx we plan to support construction and infrastructure operators with advanced aerial data collection, LiDAR-based 3D analytics, and a scalable subscription-based service."
The software uses LiDAR-enabled drones that employ laser scanning to generate 3D representations of construction sites. This technology allows project teams to measure terrain, track elevation changes, and compare actual construction progress against design specifications.
According to the company, AI data center construction projects typically require 12 to 36 months to complete and involve significant earthworks and infrastructure coordination. ZenaTech specializes in AI drone solutions, Drone as a Service offerings, enterprise SaaS, and quantum computing technologies.
