Bird Construction prices $250 million senior notes offering
Bird Construction Inc. (TSX: BDT) priced a Canadian private placement of $250 million in senior notes due June 1, 2031, the company announced. The notes carry a 4.397% interest rate and are denominated in Canadian dollars.
The construction company plans to use net proceeds to repay approximately $204 million in outstanding debt under its non-revolving term loan facility. Remaining funds will be allocated for general corporate purposes, which may include repaying amounts drawn under revolving credit facilities or funding future acquisitions.
The offering is expected to close on June 1, 2026. A syndicate of agents offered the notes on a private placement basis exclusively to accredited investors resident in or located in a Canadian province.
The notes were not registered under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933 and will not be offered or sold within the United States. Bird Construction operates construction and maintenance services across Canada's major markets, serving industrial, buildings, and infrastructure sectors.
