Czech police orders 11 Airbus H145 helicopters

Investing.com -- The Czech Ministry of Interior signed a contract with Airbus Helicopters for 11 five-bladed H145 helicopters on Wednesday, according to a statement from the companies.

The aircraft will be operated by the Czech Police Aviation Service for law enforcement, search and rescue, and emergency medical missions. The agreement includes helicopter delivery along with training and logistics support.

Thomas Hein, Head of Europe Region at Airbus Helicopters, said the H145 was chosen to replace the Czech police's current H135 fleet. The Czech Police Aviation Service currently operates nine H135 family helicopters.

The H145 will provide enhanced tactical range and lifting capacity compared to the existing fleet, with maintenance streamlined through digital systems, according to the statement.

More than 1,800 H145 family helicopters are in service globally, accumulating over 8.5 million flight hours. The aircraft is powered by two Safran Arriel 2E engines and features a full authority digital engine control and Helionix digital avionics suite. Over 200 H145 helicopters are used worldwide for public service and law enforcement operations.

Airbus sources over $200 million worth of goods from the Czech Republic annually for commercial aircraft production.
