NIQ (NYSE: NIQ) announced the launch of Survey Groups in NIQ Discover, a capability that connects consumer survey responses to real-world purchase behavior from the company's consumer panels.
The feature, available immediately within NIQ Discover, builds on the company's existing Panel Surveys by linking consumer attitudes to actual purchasing data. Survey Groups allow clients to analyze consumer segments, understand performance drivers, identify purchase barriers, and create analyses directly within the Discover platform.
"What's new with Survey Groups is that these insights are now integrated directly into Discover, making them easier to access, analyze, and activate within existing workflows," said Troy Treangen, Chief Product Officer at NIQ.
The capability addresses limitations of traditional surveys that rely on claimed behavior by tying consumer statements to verified purchase data. Survey Groups are powered by NIQ Panel Surveys, which connect to the company's consumer panels in the fast-moving consumer goods industry.
Teams can create and analyze Survey Groups at the question-and-answer level, enabling segmentation across markets while maintaining consistent sample coverage. The integration allows for faster analysis and collaboration across teams within the existing Discover workflow.
NIQ stated that Survey Groups represent the first step in a broader roadmap for Panel Surveys, with additional enhancements planned throughout 2026. The company operates in more than 90 countries and covers approximately 82% of the world's population and more than $7.4 trillion in global consumer spend.
