Safe Bulkers gets approval for dual listing on Euronext Athens exchange

Safe Bulkers Inc. (NYSE: SB) received confirmation from Euronext Athens that its common stock meets all requirements for dual listing on the Main Market of Euronext Athens Stock Exchange, according to a company statement.
The marine drybulk transportation company said Euronext Athens' Listings and Market Operations Committee confirmed the approval following its session, with the listing subject to prospectus approval by the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission.
Safe Bulkers expects to announce the trading commencement date after the commission approves the prospectus. The company's shares will trade under ISIN code MHY7388L1039 on the Athens exchange.
Piraeus Bank S.A. served as listing advisor for the transaction. Potamitis Vekris Law Firm provided legal counsel on Greek law matters, while White & Case LLP acted as global legal counsel.
The Monaco-based company provides marine drybulk transportation services, transporting coal, grain and iron ore along worldwide shipping routes. Safe Bulkers' common stock currently trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol SB, along with its series C and series D preferred stock under symbols SB.PR.C and SB.PR.D respectively.
