Vicor Corporation (NASDAQ: VICR) revised its second quarter 2026 revenue guidance upward to $142 million from $126 million, citing increased product revenues and additional royalties from a new licensee.
The power systems company secured an all-inclusive license agreement with an original equipment manufacturer for its patented power system technology portfolio. The license covers Vicor's patents for power converter topologies, control systems, power components and distribution architectures, including Factorized Power and Vertical Power Delivery technologies.
Chief Executive Officer Dr. Patrizio Vinciarelli said the licensing arrangement enables OEMs and hyperscalers to secure multi-source access to Vicor's power system innovations. He noted that respect for intellectual property is driven by exclusion orders that bar importation of computing systems from infringing suppliers.
Vicor, headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts, designs and manufactures modular power components and power systems. The company serves markets including enterprise and high-performance computing, industrial equipment, telecommunications, vehicles and aerospace electronics.
The revenue guidance revision reflects the company's expectation of higher royalty income from the new licensing agreement alongside growing product sales.
